Service
A procedure to correct a deviated nasal septum in order to improve breathing.
Benefits

Nasal breathing and septal alignment are examined, often with endoscopy, to confirm the deviation is the source of the obstruction.
Performed under local or general anesthesia, usually as an outpatient procedure.
Working through an incision inside the nostril, deviated cartilage and bone are trimmed or repositioned — no external scarring is involved.
Internal splints or sutures hold the septum in its corrected position while it heals.

Performed as outpatient surgery with same-day discharge in most cases.
Internal splints remain in place for about a week while initial healing takes place.
Most patients return to normal daily activities within this window.
Internal healing completes and the full breathing benefit becomes apparent.
Risks & Important Considerations
Risks include bleeding, infection, and — in a small number of cases — incomplete or recurring symptoms that may need further treatment. A rare risk is a change in the external shape of the nose, which is discussed beforehand.
