Service
A surgical eyelid treatment that may include removal of excess skin or tissue.
Benefits

Eyelid skin, fat, and overall eye health are assessed, including a review of any existing eye conditions.
Usually performed under local anesthesia with sedation, on an outpatient basis.
Incisions are placed in the natural eyelid crease of the upper lid, or just below the lashes of the lower lid, and excess skin or fat is removed or repositioned.
Fine sutures close the incisions, keeping scarring minimal and well hidden in natural creases.

Risks & Important Considerations
Risks include bleeding, infection, dry or irritated eyes, and, rarely, changes in eyelid position or vision. Any existing eye conditions are reviewed carefully beforehand, since they can affect both the plan and the risks involved.
